First of all i think it is important that the front cover catches the eye of the reader. Because in most cases after someone having seen the front cover they will decide whether to carry on reading.
I used a light purple front cover because it attracts the eye straight away, and having just the name of the act with no more information would make the reader interested and want to find out more about him.
Also the fact that he is an unknown artist with just some other big names on the cover means that he is praised to be as big as the others, which would gain interest from the readers.
The second page they will look at is the contents, and i think that by adding another bright colour (yellow) it will appeal to them. The majority of the time a person will buy a magazine solely based on its front cover and contents page and i think that because mine have front cover and abide themselves from the ordinary that people would buy my magazine.
