Initial Ideas For My Music Magazine

My first ideas were that the mangazine would cover everything from House, Electro, Dance & Trance with a targeted audience of a younger generation betweeen the age of 17-25. The audience would be both male and female of the middle class, who are all interested in the latest club music and what clubs to go to seing as "
Trance" magazine would tell them where all the biggest DJ's are around the country.
The magazine would be a national magazine, it's cost: £3.49. IT would be available in shops, supermarkets and clubs. "Trance" would also be available with subscription, where it would be delivered to your home. The magazine can also be found as an E-zine and it would be free. However, there would be low adverts and less pages to make the audience want to buy the actual magazine as it would have more content. The estimated revenue of "Trance" would be around £28.500 per month and would have a circulation of about 30.000 per month , our intention would to get a lot of advertising to have a higher revenue every month.

"Trance" has convergence with Facebook and Twitter, it would allow it to be advertised on the two biggest social networks on the internet. And with Twitter , our audience can follow their favourite DJ's and find out where to be on their weekends.

The magazine would be informal with a friendly and helpful attitude to it's readers, but it's messagwould be that the readers work together with "Trance".The magazine would  advise them, in return they would give us feedback and post their ideas on the website for next month's issue.

Our biggest rivals would be "mixmag" as we're doing similar things, they are interesting and up-to-date. Other rivals would be "DJ" and "Rave". But as it's not a big part in the market we wouldn't have many rivals and therefore would dominate our category in the market.

The E-zine is free. Engaging the reader, it would have a synergy with Blackberry and many other smartphones, FAcebook, Twitter and Youtube.

Blurry images for Rambler

Rambler

Our first attempt to make our school magazine did not go to plan. We did not have sufficient photoshop skills to do our idea. The camera gave us blurry images as we did not know how to use it properly. This project was a great learning experience and we have learnt a lot from it. We now are more familiar with photoshop and so we will put our skills in place for the music magazine coming up. Hopefully, it will be a much better magazine than the first one, with a better front cover, double page spread and content page.
We have learnt how to use our camera adequately so the next magazine will be much better.
